Attention Ontario RDs!

Sign up for a FREE, one hour, live webcast hosted by the Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC). Join us to learn more about NutriSTEP® (Nutrition Screening Tool for Every Preschooler) and participate in an online, live question and answer period, where we will present answers to your questions. It is a chance to learn about the results of the targeted implementation of NutriSTEP® in Ontario as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with implementation of a community nutrition screening program.

NutriSTEP® is a scientifically valid and reliable nutrition risk screening questionnaire (English and French) designed to assess eating habits and identify nutrition problems early in children 3-5 years of age. Dietitian researchers have developed, refined and validated the tool for administration by parents, caregivers or community professionals. NutriSTEP® can dovetail into existing provincial programs and reach at risk preschoolers and their families in locations such as Best Start hubs, parent education and school readiness programs, and primary health care settings.

The presentation will be moderated by Michelle Manarina [bio] and will include contributions from Lee Rysdale [bio], NRC Program Coordinator, Joanne Beyers [bio], Community Nutrition Specialist, Sudbury & District Health Unit and Drs. Janis Randall Simpson [bio] and Heather Keller [bio] from the University of Guelph. To learn more about the presenters, please click their biography link.
