Firewall/Proxy
Having problems connecting to the webcast? Try connecting to the webcast from a workstation that is based outside your network or one that's on a public IP. If you are able to view the webcast from that workstation it is an indication that your firewall may not allow audio/video streaming. You will need to contact your Network Administrator to run some tests; he or she will need to open port 8080 for Windows Media to allow audio & video streaming.
Connectivity/Bandwidth Available
For some reason if your audio or video seems to be breaking up while watching a High Bandwidth webcast, or your player keeps losing the connection to the streaming server, you may have insufficient bandwidth to watch the stream. Try switching to a Lower Bandwidth stream.
Codec Issues: Auto Downloads etc.
If for some reason if you do not receive either audio or video it could mean that you do not have the appropriate codec to play the particular stream. In this case the Windows Media Player should automatically prompt you to download the necessary codec; however, if it does not do so, go to:
Windows Media Download then download and install the Codec Installation Package for Windows Media Player.
Laptop/Projector Setup
Please note, some laptops do not allow for the simultaneous display on both the internal monitor and external monitor feed. Please ensure that you have set the laptop to display the video signal to the external monitor/projector.
